Living with Bushmen
Wild bushmen invited me to live with their tribe and learn what their culture is all about. This particular tribe is famous for hunting and eating Japanese soldiers in World War II as well as other intruders to their land until late 1970s. A few years later they finally agreed to stop canibalism because of government pressure. The skulls they kept as trophy are still being proudly shown. Their village is located in the middle of Borneo rain forest, 2 hrs boat ride away from any civilization. Apart from a small power generator which they are able to use 1 hour a day (hence lack of Diesel) they don’t have any electricity, fresh water or any other modern amenities. The medicine man is still responsible for any health issue and only using things that he can find in the forest.
