Riding the DC-3

The Douglas DC-3 is one of the most iconic airplanes ever. Introduced in 1936 it revolutionized air transport in speed and range. Combined with its outstanding cargo capabilities, robust airframe, reliability and easy maintenance it had lasting effect on World War II, making it one of the most significant transport aircraft ever made. Even today the DC-3 is still in daily service at places around the world, being used for bush flying and transporting cargo in South America, Africa, Canada, Alaska and many more.
Of course, for many years it was on my bucket list to ride this baby and finally it became reality.
